Starworth Infrastructure Secures ₹57.81 Cr Contract for Westin Hotel, Bengaluru

Construction Contract Signals Starworth's Expansion Beyond Residential

Puravankara Limited's wholly-owned subsidiary Starworth Infrastructure & Construction Limited has secured a ₹57.81 crore Letter of Intent for the Westin Hotel project in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The contract covers civil, structural, waterproofing, and related works for the hospitality development located near Kundalahalli Metro Station in the EPIP Area of Whitefield.

The project execution timeline is set for 20 months. This is an Item Rate Contract with a total value of ₹57.80 crore plus applicable taxes, duties and levies.

Whitefield as a Hospitality Growth Corridor

The project reflects continued hospitality development activity across Bengaluru's high-growth business districts, driven by sustained demand from corporate travel, MICE, and long-stay segments. Whitefield continues to attract branded hotel investments owing to its strong office ecosystem, metro connectivity, and expanding residential catchment.

The Westin project is part of a broader redevelopment in Whitefield. SAMHI Hotels Limited, one of India's leading hotel ownership companies, is expanding its Tribute Portfolio in Whitefield through collaboration with Marriott International, and will introduce a new premium hotel under The Westin brand within the same development. The Westin Bengaluru will introduce 236 premium rooms and suites and is projected to open in 2028, featuring four food and beverage outlets, a WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio, the Heavenly Spa by Westin, and a rooftop swimming pool.

Starworth's Growing Third-Party Portfolio

The contract signals strong revenue visibility for Starworth's construction vertical. Established in 2008 as an independent general contracting firm, Starworth was envisioned to serve external contracts and back-end services for the Puravankara group. SICL has built over 21 million square feet across India, spanning residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

The order win expands Starworth's external order book, reducing reliance on Puravankara's internal residential projects. The ₹57.81 crore infusion represents steady momentum in the subsidiary's execution pipeline. This hospitality contract demonstrates the subsidiary's widening footprint beyond residential development, adding scale to Puravankara's construction services capability.

The engagement strengthens the company's association with global hospitality brands like Westin, improving its institutional credibility. For Puravankara, leveraging Starworth for external high-value contracts diversifies revenue streams and reduces cyclical exposure to residential markets alone.
